As Plant Controller I was responsible for analysing manufacturing performance against standard costs and working with other managers to introduce cost improvement plans
I was responsible for producing plant accounts and for then presenting these results to the UK board with damage limitation plans and costs
The role was successful and the Barking plant productivity significantly increased. The same approach was then overseen by Barking personnel at the sister plant in Norwich. Eventually the overall improvement in productivity enabled the Barking production to be transferred to Norwich to fill the capacity released.
